Nicole Kidman’s Kids Don’t Call Her ‘Mom’

November 30, 2007

Nicole Kidman recently revealed that her two kids, Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12, call her by her first name, instead of ‘Mom’.  What?!  I wouldn’t allow that, no way!  Maybe they call Katie mom…;)

My kids don’t call me mommy, they don’t even call me mom,” Nicole said on the UK TV show GMTV. “They call me Nicole, which I hate and tell them off for it.”

Nicole also discussed the fact that her children, whom she adopted with ex-husband Tom Cruise, are being raised to follow their father’s Scientology religion in Los Angeles.

Yes, they’re being raised as Scientologists. I don’t want to go there,” said the Catholic actress.

My daughter and son, their life is molded by the way I live,” Kidman said. “If I wasn’t willing to take on that responsibility, I shouldn’t have adopted them. Then it can be argued that I should never have divorced, and that’s true, too, but sometimes you don’t have a decision in that. People fall out of love, they do.”

She added, “When children are teenagers, they have a say in where they want to be. Los Angeles is a big draw, and I’m looking to get a place there so we can share more.”

UPDATE:  According to OK! Magazine, it’s not true and what she really said was,  “They don’t call me ‘mommy‘,” when the interviewer asks her “What do they call you?”, the actress replies immediately by saying “‘Mom’… or sometimes ‘Nicole’.”
